About

Rory Shirley (she/her) is a recent graduate from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music.  A scholarship recipient, she majored in musical theatre with an emphasis in dance. During her time at the conservatory, Rory was able to hone in on her skills in all areas. She is well rounded in many different dance styles, from hip hop to swing to jazz. She's also had the opportunity to direct and choreograph. Rory has appeared in numerous BoCo MainStage and student productions across her four years at the conservatory.

At the age of 3, Rory's theatre journey began. Her mom, an artist herself, first enrolled her in ballet classes and from there, there was no going back. After, Rory then started taking class in all kinds of dance genres, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, African, etc. The acting and singing came later when Rory was in the fourth grade. Going to theatre summer camps, she decided that musical theatre was the place for her.

Doing musicals and recitals all throughout elementary and middle school, Rory was later  accepted into her county's performing arts magnet program, Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts (CCCEPA) at Pebblebrook High School.

She made her Regional theatre debut in Cinderella with Theatre By The Sea, building career connections and meeting friends to last a lifetime. She has also performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Proud of her accomplishments in Boston, Rory is ready to take the big apple by storm!
